Differences in Pro, Standard, and Lite version...

The Standard and Lite versions have all the features and interfaces as our Pro version. All versions include WinForm, WebForm, ActiveX, VCL, and DLL interfaces. All versions include 1000 plus properties, methods, and events. The only difference between the Standard and Lite is the quantity of data points and annotations that can be rendered.

The Standard version is limited to 8000 data points and 800 annotations. The Lite version is limited to 1000 data points and 100 annotations. This limit is per instance of a control. You can have multiple controls running and each with the above limitation.

For example, 8000 data points could represent a 3D surface plot with 88 rows by 88 columns producing 7744 polygons. Or, a Scientific Graph can have 4 axes, with one subset per axis, each axis plotting 2000 points for a total of 8000 data points. The (number of Subsets) times (number of Points per subset) must be less than or equal to 8000 or 1000.

The Pro version is unlimited and includes unlimited technical support. We will attempt to offer unlimited support on Lite and Standard versions unless support demands significantly increase for these versions. At which point we may charge a support fee for the Lite and Standard versions.

Additional licenses are generally only required when ProEssentials is installed on multiple production internet/intranet servers to serve dynamic content. For example, you're creating a web application running under IIS and you need to place this web application on 8 servers at 8 of your company plants/locations. Thus, 7 additional LDLs (your development license allows one production server) would be needed to distribute to a total of 8 plants. In this case, purchasing the (10 Qty) would likely be your best option.

If compiling an EXE to run locally on multiple desktop systems (ran at your location or any location) no additional licenses are needed. Client side EXE distribution is royalty free as part of your development license rights.

Generally, few customers need additional licenses as the product comes with the rights to place on one production server, one test server, and one development server. You only need more licenses if placing on more servers.

Also, these licenses are purely proof of purchase items. Actual deployment is based off the honor system. No license files or licensing schemes to hassle with.
